I really don't care for pets in the house, I do understand some people have to have their pets.  How much deposit should I charge for a pet?

Josie, there is not a limit for pet deposits.  Most people charge the one months rent to pets deposits.  If you do rent to someone with a pet, please use a pet addendum.  This is in addition to the lease agreement.  A pet addendum spell out exactly what type of pet is allowed, the deposit and cleaning rules. 

 

If you do not have pet addendum, Renting Authority has them.  Log into http://www.toolbox.rentingauthority.com and select lease agreement.  The pet addendums are under rental forms. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
