Hello, Troy,
I enjoy getting your informative and encouraging e-mails.  Thank you!

I have a question concerning college housing.  We have one “guy house” and we are considering getting another one for girls.  How do we advertise to keep them separate?  Right now, we are trying to fill one room of four in the guy house and we'd like to keep it a guy.  Can we legally do this?

Thanks for your help!
Cecile

Cecile,
Great question.  According the Fair Housing Act, you can not have a female home and a male home.  Many college town's run into this problem.  Unfortunately this can be ground for a discrimination law suit.  Click on this link to find out more of what you can and can not do.  http://www.dlrp.org/html/guide_to/fha.html

Thanks,
Troy
