I've considered renting out a room in my townhouse, but always afraid I may end up with a lunatic. The movie "Pacific Heights" (with Melanie Griffith and Michael Keaton) continuously comes to mind :-). If I do decide to rent out a room, is the first step to get a lawyer to draft a contract, or are there easier ways to go?

By the way, this site is really informative--Thanks!
